Our Class Offerings: Fun French Classes for Children
Using music, movement, stories and art, our classes will enrich a child’s early educational experience. These classes (with the exception of Les Saules, a drop-off program), will include the active participation of the caregiver, who will play a key role in the success of the child in the class. Les Graines: A class for 1.5-3 year olds! Come sing, move, dance and express yourself all while learning a new language. Children participate alongside caregivers to learn songs and games that nurture creativity and imagination while promoting physical and emotional development.

Les Tournesols (preschool –age, 3-4 years): Come have fun singing songs, playing games, creating art and listening to stories, all in French! Kids and caregivers alike will be actively involved in every aspect of the class that is designed specifically to promote a child’s own creativity and interests all while engaging in the French language.

Les saules: (3.5-5 years old) This afternoon drop-off program will immerse children in a creative and engaging language experience. Children will listen to and act out stories, sing and dance, engage in free-play and also have time for art all while immersed in the French language. A healthy snack will be served.
This class welcomes 3.5 to 5 year old children and will be adapted to meet the French level of each individual child.
*Mondays, April 7 – June 23, 2014 from 1:30-4pm (caregivers do not stay for this program)
Classes will build upon one another over a ten week session. All classes will be conducted in French but will be accessible to all regardless of language through the use of visuals, props, puppets, gestures and highly engaging OR interactive songs, games and stories.
In a class, the children sing, dance, paint, cook, climb, share, listen and laugh…ALL in French!
Note to parents and caregivers: You are essential participants in every component of the class. We know that a parent or caregiver is one of the most important teachers in a child’s life, and as such, play a key role in the child’s success. By seeing caregivers participate, children will be more willing to take risks. Your active involvement in class will highly enrich your child’s learning experience. By consequence, caregivers will also be very familiar with the content of each session and can therefore extend the day’s activities beyond the class. Get ready to have fun!
